There are many professions that require a great deal of trust between the client and the professional.
- If you work in a bank, customers trust you. They believe you wouldn't disclose their account balance to people. They also believe you wouldn't disclose other personl details too.
- If you are a healthcare worker, patients trust that you wouldn't disclose their diagnoses and health conditions to others including your spouse and friends.
- If you are a Counselor, your clients trust that whatever they tell you is safe and confidential.
- Confidentiality is also important in our Faith. When someone shares a prayer request, it shouldn't be for general knowledge except the person permits.
- Relationships also requires trust. In relationships, things are shared and when there is a break in a courtship, those personal details should be kept in confidence. Same goes for marriage. Do you discuss your marital issues with friends just to degrade your partner? This isn't wise.
- Can God trust you? Do you do what He tells you to do? When He reveals something to you so you can pray, do you pray or do you just ignore?
- As you can see, all relationships in this life, requires trust. When you really love someone or respect someone or value someone, trust makes your relationship stronger. Please let's endeavor to trust and be trustworthy.
